Most embarrassing moment on radio?
Forgetting to switch off the mic must be every broadcaster’s nightmare. Especially if there’s any cursing or gossiping happening – LOL. I must say, I have had my fair share of fun.Any hidden talents that no one knows about?
I’m a huge lover of literature and the spoken word. People don’t know that I write poetry, and I think I’m pretty good at it.
What do you love most about Jozi FM?
Jozi FM is uniquely positioned right at the engine of the country – within the biggest township in SA. Many trends start here, and working for the station really keeps you on your feet. I love this about Jozi FM. This platform commands that you push yourself beyond yourself. As our tagline says, we are ‘More than just radio’
What sums up a well-spent weekend for you?
Well, this could be anything from chilling with my boys, (yes I prefer hanging out namajita) to painting the town all shades of red. I also enjoy spending time indoors with a good read and a glass of wine.

If you could change one thing about the world around you, what would it be?
The glorification of all things material, paired with the lack of passion and drive to go out and acquire these things really bothers me. This ‘marriage’ has birthed the bulk of many social ills. Teenage pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse, sugar daddies, blessers and crime. These are the things crippling the hope of our nation – the youth. If I could, I would really push our youth to empower themselves, to grab any opportunity out there and to find a common purpose to building a better future.
Name 5 people (alive or late) you would like to host at a dinner party and why?
Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, Somizi Mhlongo, Julius Malema, Whoopie Goldberg and Michael Jackson. All these individuals are really strong forces, and we’d probably have some really good laughs around the table – for good measure.
Who would you bring back from the dead and why?
My daddy, simply because I miss him sooooooo much
If you could have a super power, what would it be and what would you use it for?
I’d have a lie detector so I can pick up when people are telling the truth or not. Too many fake people out there!
